Ismail Einashe
is a British-Somali journalist based in London. He is the Horn of Africa correspondent for the global quarterly, Index on Censorship magazine, a magazine that covers free expression issues around the world.
His reporting has been published in The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The New York Times, The Atlantic, Prospect, NPR, The Nation and Welt-Sichten, among other places. He has worked for BBC Radio Current Affairs and presented on BBC Radio. He is also an Ochberg Fellow at the Dart Center on Journalism and Trauma at Columbia University Journalism School and an associate at the Cambridge Migration Research Network (CAMMIGRES).
